This guy is beating aggy with facts/links and they're still on that river in Egypt.

The part I was referring to was in regards to the 95 Texas vs aggy game (I was there) where Texas beat aggy for the last SWC championship. The guy was providing links and facts that aggy jumped kids and pulled swords, yet the aggy were in denial.
Here's one link I saved cause I have aggy friends who have stated some of that crap didn't happen.

Unfortunately, the mighty Captain Bevo was vanquished by the admins at TexAgs. It's okay to post threads titled "the cost of being gay just went up" (re: tuition increases @ Texas), but it is NOT okay to win an argument with the locals.

Now my account has been banned.

Just out of plain old curiosity, I sent an email to the admins asking them why. I'm interested to see their response.

I figured it was a matter of time; I was temporarily banned banned last month after the plane crash: Aggy started a thread with pictures of the burning building, claiming that it's all because of "government-hating sips," or something like that. I told him that exploiting a murder/suicide isn't the best way to indulge your inferoritiy complex towards the Horns . . . and was temp-banned for being "disrespectful."

Oh I was at this game as well. In fact two buddies & I were the first three to charge the field. And all with 8 seconds still on the clock.

I witnessed the fighting but never saw drawn swords. We were staying with one of my buddy's HS friends who was in the Corp & a Sr that year. He told us the next weekend that a lot of Corp got their asses chewed out... But not because of their classless behavior but for not stopping us from rushing the field in the first place. Aggy... All class. Riiiiiiiiiight.

Yeah another soar spot with me concerning aggy. I enlisted in the USN before I went to college. I spent 11 months serving overseas having to collect Hostile Fire pay and Hazardous Duty pay. Although my ship never had any incidents directly with either Iran or Iraq (1988 Persian Excursion - we had four operations where US servicemen were killed & wounded) the fact that I did serve under wartime conditions allows me to call their cult ********.

Perhaps my four years were an anomoly but never during my tour did I ever serve with a former aggy cadet. I met one once, he was all aggy if you know what I mean.

I did serve under two officers who were Longhorn graduates and had been in the Navy ROTC during their time on the 40 acres.

The excuses aggy typically gives is enough for me to walk away before they've finished flapping their lips.

I know what you mean. I myself was a Marine. Somehow every aggy (even the overwhelming majority that do NOT serve in the military) somehow feels entitled to claim as their own the accomplishments of any aggy that DID serve. Longhorns don't do that.

Of course, when I told aggy that I was once a Marine, they dismissed this just as readily as they do anyone claiming to be a UT grad ("t-shirt sip" ring any bells?). One poster told me that he knew I was lying because no Marine ever says they "used to be a Marine," but instead says "former Marine" (when in fact, the saying is supposedly that there are no ex Marines). I told him I don't subscribe to this because I am, in fact, no longer in the Marine Corps, and will not borrow from the accomplishments of young men and women who are fighting and dying right now whilst I live in comfort and safety. They are Marines. I am not, anymore.

Predictably, he told me that my "disdain" for such "traditions" as "Once a Marine, always a Marine" showed disdain for the entire Marine Corps. I asked him if he knew the difference between a "tradition" and a catchphrase.

Wow. They've started yet another thread about me on texags. Is that sad, or is it funny? The Link

The same fool who started the thread (and who has had an unhealthy obsession with me since I first posted there) later begs someone, anyone, to photoshop a picture of Colt "right away." This is a perfect example of the difference between aggy and us: we are proud of our school, and our players, and our teams. Since they themselves have little to be proud of (other than an endzone full of dead collies), they must settle for attacking the school, players, and teams of which we are so justifiably proud.

And of course there's the delusional, self-congratulatory aggy foolishness: note the aggy who has somehow convinced himself that I was a "punching bag." I guess that's easy to do when you can just wait for the admins to delete the account of anyone who out-argues you . . . thereby obliterating all the evidence. All you have to do is wait a couple of weeks for the embarrassment to subside, and then you can start a new thread where you pretend to remember how you "pwned" that "sip."

I love aggy. They're like having a dopey little brother; they get on your nerves sometimes, and they are constantly measuring themselves against you (whle vehemently denying that they do), and they often smell funny for some reason--but you usually feel bad when you have to thump them one.

I was right in the middle of that fiasco at the end of the 95 game. I was there as a member of the working media, and spent the entire game on the field. Although I was pulling for Texas, my employers forbid me from wearing any orange or showing any enthusiasm for UT. As the final seconds ticked away I grabbed my photogs belt loop and we rushed towards midfield to get the Slocum-Mackovic handshake. The next 30-minutes was insane. I actually missed locker room celebrations and post-game interviews because myself and two others had "detained" a Yell Leader we had observed assault an elderly UT fan (it was not the same Yell Leader we had on tape calling Chris Akin the "N Word" from a safe distance). I took several punches that day, but the funny part is I NEVER got punched in the face. Between the shoulder blades, in the back of the head... confronted numerous times, but never struck when I was looking. I saw **** that evening that I will never forget, nor would I ever forgive. Cowards.

Saint,

That is a cool story(cool that you were there and that you're sharing it--not cool that it actually happened . . . you know what I mean).

Did you get any pics?

I was a sophomore at the time and was in College Station staying with a high school friend. We didn't go to the game but another friend of ours did and was one that rushed the field.

I saw the bruises on his back and sides from being tackled and punched. He/we thought it was hilarious.
