Aggy and Yeast history

That Gap person is high-larious. They claim to "know their baseball". But they have no clue about this rule which says you have to slide directly to the bag, and not past it either. The picture shows the runner clearly in mid-slide with no way of stopping at the bag. The NCAA is way more strict than pro ball when it comes to breaking up double plays. Unless the fielder is standing directly in front of the bag on the first base side, it's almost impossible for a runner to touch them.

If I recall correctly, wadd96 was/is an actual D-1 college baseball umpire, so he was, in fact, defending the call made by the umpire. The rest of those idiots were insisting they knew better.

I used to post on that board because it was one of the best college baseball message boards on the internet at the time. The only A&M fans who posted regularly were the ones who were true fans of the game and didn't constantly whine and moan and ***** about umpires and conspiracy theories. There were lots of fans of opposing teams posting there, too. It was actually a highly informative and useful place.

Then A&M went and hired Childress, they became somewhat respectable as a program, and all the Rivalries board idiots who never gave a damn about college baseball took up residence on the baseball board and demanded that it become an A&M-only board. Of course the spineless moderators over there did exactly that, and anyone who even hints of being a Texas fan gets their posts deleted or gets banned outright. Now 90% of the threads over there are either about their latest, greatest "The Big 12/NCAA is out to get us" conspiracy theory, or bitching about Dave Yeast. It is truly sad what they've allowed to become of what once was a great board.

I thought this thread is going to be about aggies getting yeast infections from contaminated soil from pitching mounts...

Wow... y'all went digging for this thread, but just in time for the postseason!

If y'all and the ATM make it through your respective regionals, Augie should be sure to mention to the umps that there have been complaints from the middle infielders about Aggies sliding outside the bag just to see if y'all can get this called. The TexAgs meltdown would be fun to watch.

Bass, I agree with everything you are saying. What used to be a pretty informative board has turned into a Naziesque blackhole where any material resembling the truth is quickly deleted.

Case in point, the previous thread on Yeast is no longer available on naziags.com

Wow. Did someone bring that old thread back up on TexAgs or are they lurking over here and decided to get rid of it before anyone else saw it? What a bunch of douchebags.

They got rid of it to prevent any fodder for those who want to use it against them, especially on the Rivalries board.

I don't blame them. It's their board. Horn-baiting posts are deleted here too.

But isn't that the purpose of having a designated Rivalries board? So that rival posters can post on it? Not in Aggyworld I guess.

I apologize if this has been posted before (I couldn't find it), but I found this old interview with Yeast and found it interesting: The Link

Especially this part:

"Dave Yeast:
[This answer was asked to be 'off the record'. Sorry guys.]

But I will say this, just in general… the atmosphere at Texas A&M is the best in college baseball. If you asked me to work one last game in my life other than the College World Series, it would be the Friday night Texas at Texas A&M game. And I get that game this year too. That atmosphere is SO good for our sport. It’s an unbelievable atmosphere."

If anything, he seems to have fond feelings of the Aggies. But, I guess this would get in the way of their argument that he is owned by the t-sips.
