aggsy 'ewetube' request....

...game with Nebraska tied, NU's pg and leader out with a hurt shoulder, Davis breaks on a lazy pass has an uncontested breakaway and dunk to set off the gomer crowd...while loading for the spectacular jam he turns his ankle goes down in a heap and tosses the ball ob. Couldn't help but laugh. Then you hear him drop the f bomb. Classic.

The gomers in the stands were already up on their feet to chant some weird **** and just stood their with their mouths open.

This made me laugh.

I had it on mute cause I can't stand the stupid aggy crowd.... so I missed it.

I thought karma got'em cause some of the aggy crowd were smiling and laughing while that NU player was down.

I noticed the same thing and it wasn't just students laughing while look at the court. It was people who should have been ashamed.
at least most of the crow3d did appauld as NU got him off the court

I could be mistaken, but I thought he came back into the game. Either way, I don't think he is in jeopardy of missing the next game.

And while I completely agree with BIH's comment about injuries not being a laughing matter, I did find that play amusing. aTm is "Charlie Brown University" and that play is as close as it gets to this . . .

The guy wasn't hurt. He was back in the game within a minute of him falling all over himself. If you don't think that play is fair game to point and laugh at then you haven't played very many sports. I guarantee you he will catch hell from his own teammates about this, so I think it's okay for us to laugh.

On a positive note for the Ags, I read a new excuse from their fans as to why they lost - it was the fat and lazy ballboy's fault - so there are no worries as to the team's level of play.

I have to say, that rather than an injury, in my opinion, he fell victim to the dreaded 'dead leg'.

I think anyone who can dunk has at least once mis-measured their steps, then end up off balance just enough to completely screw up your jump. Horribly embarrassing, and I won't pretend to understand the complete physics of it. It's like the motor skills portion of your brain short circuits at the last second during take off.

Anyhow if you do take a look at the fall, you'll see that:
a) there's no discernible injury at take off; his legs and hips just get a little goofy as he gathers himself
b) he at first looks to reach for his knee, but then goes for his ankle

He had one of the more severe cases of dead leg possibly ever captured on tape. I've sure never fallen, or seen anyone fall before.

Now, going back to the ankle/knee thing, from experience, when you f' up like this, you always go for the ankle over the knee. Ankles you can walk off, knees, the trainer's coming out for sure, and you're headed to the bench.

I really think that's what happened. I even tivo'ed it back and forth a few times when it happened.
