BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

The Aggies have just lost their best commit, 4 star OL Ivory Wade, to Baylor. It's all over RIVALS and the Texags recruiting BBS:

The Link

Art Briles is going to be a force to be contended with down the road, folks, at least for the Aggies.

A&M now has two --- count 'em ----- TWO commits from the top 50 in Texas. TWO!

Given the crap that Fran recruited in his last two years, the Aggies had better hope that Coach Sherman can "coach 'em up."

Aggy's class flat out sucks (unless they plan on playing in C-USA or the WAC). Their class consists of the following:

3 - 4 star (all 5.8)
18 - 3 star
1 - 2 star
2 - Unranked

Those funny ags.

They keep talking about how 5 star WR Randall Carrol is going to decommit from usc and commit to anm.

Yeah recruits always drop usc for anm. This is the same school that just lost a recruit to Baylor and they really believe they are getting Carrol?

Reality-anm loses a recruit to baylor
Dreamworld-anm beats out USC for a 5 star recruit.

I hate to be so blunt but wake up ags.

Wow, damn impressive for Briles, Beau and da Bearz - congrats to them all. Watch out aggy, there is a new Sheriff on the Brazos

It seems like making fun of their recruiting and lamenting our score against them are both becoming commonplace. Can we please use our talent advantage to start a nice, long winning streak?

The Jrs and Srs last year for atm and UT were from pretty equally ranked recruiting classes in 04 and 05 (atm actually better ranked). Take into consideration Senior AA losses in Limas, Hills Jr and D Giffin, at least last year should not have been that big of a surprise. Compare the 06 and 07 classes (both top 5 for UT and both not even in Top 25 for atm) and any losses in the next 3 years should be considered very surprising barring major injuries.

The worst thing about this news is that it is going to send miller58 into another longwinded tirade about the gomers. I have a pretty good idea what he is going to say. I guess if nothing else it is therapeutic for him. It should get really funny by mid season.

"My personal opinions":

I've been on suicide watch every since I found out $Bill had zero experience in hiring a college football coach.

It intensified last fall when the Ag Spin Machine spread the "new emphasis on recruiting"

The suicide watch became code red when I read each of the 10 coaches' resumes, and found that 8 of them had signed absolutely no four and five star players and the other 2 coaches had only signed 1 each four and five star players in the last five years prior to comming to A&M.

So the double digit decommits last signing class, and losing over 40 head to heads this year for just the four and five star players was not unexpected.

I do not hold any grudge against UT for my current state, but beating the crap out of us on all those head to head offers damn sure didn't help!

I admit the pills, smoke and alcohol do help, and will be convenient if $Bill, Sherman and Turgeon don't "resign" this year.

Etc., Blah, Blah, Blah!

Bad Excuse--you are 100% wrong. You just are. You need to not post anymore on the topic of Fran's recruiting being on par with Mack's, the overall quality of Fran's recruiting, and what Sherman is doing now.

You are about as wrong as you could be on all counts.

I don't know...I find a certain comfort level in knowing what miller's gonna say...and my memory's long enough to think back to the bad old days of the mid-80's to early 90's when aggy was handing us our head in recruiting, and on the field. I feel the pain miller...I just don't want it to end any time soon.

Bundy, they reason that the 2004 - 2005 classes were rated higher for TAMU is that they had so many more kids. In those two classes, Texas signed 35 and the Ags signed 54- that's 19 more players to choose from.

In recruiting, no player is a sure thing, and competition for the depth chart is a must. The Ags had over 50% more players from those classes to pick from. They may have been lower rated on average, but the object is to find the best 22.

TaylorTRoom--you aren't telling me anything I don't know. I think you need to relook at the thread to see who is saying what.

2005 was far and away Fran's best class. 2003 turned out pretty good for all the wrong reasons. 2004/2006/2007 were rough.

Hey Bad,

I dont think they should have beat us the last 2 years, but we looked totally unprepared. Say what you want about Colt being injured in 06, but I would think we could have come up with some sort of gameplan to deal with that situation. Afterall, didnt Makovick come up with a gameplan when James brown was hurt for the 95 game. Mack is a great guy but we are not always the most prepared and/or motivated team. I sure hope at some point in time I will see 11very angry young men on the field. Hopefully wearing the Burnt Orange. Hey, I can dream cant I??

My personal opinions:

The AG Spin Machine now is being sent out to protect their scared collective rears by wrongly trying to defame Fran.

In Frans last year, A&M committed a decade high of 14 four and five star players.

The Ag Spin Machine is trying to cover for the 16 decommits and the only 4 four star commts in this class, sorry, now 3 with Wade decommitting to Baylor!

The Ag Spin Machine tries to ignore that Fran set a decade high of 9 regular season wins in his last 2 years.

The Ag Spin Machine ignores that to get any improvement, Sherman must get 10 regular season wins and 15 four and five star commits this year!

The Ag Spin Machine will not discuss RC signing 7 four and five star players his next to last year, while letting TU sign 21 and ou 16.

Or RC's last year when A&M signed only 6 four and five star players, letting TU sign 12 and ou sign 16.

Quite a handicap in playmakers!

The AG Spin machine will not discuss how the 5 RC recruited classes and the red shirt senions coached by RC for four years went into Nornan the next year and did 0-77.

The Ag Spin Machine will not discuss how the 03 squad was so bad that it had gone for more than one year with recruiting only one defensive back for all four positions.

The Ag Spin Machine will not discuss how recruiting had been so bad that A&M was forced to start a walkon linebacker.

The Ag Spin Machine will not discuss how the RC recruiting classes dropped our nfl draft recruiting to almost nothing and handicaped the 03, 04, 05, 06, and 07 squads.

And last, The Ag Spin Machine will not discuss decommits in the last year, the four db's that ran in the 4.4's, the lb's that ran in the 4'5's, the four dl, the wide recievers, the OL and the running backs.

A majority of these decommits were 4 and 5 star players!

These would have been backups this year, and create a huge 2 year gap in recruiting that will kill us starting next year and beyond.

I absoutely never want to hear any spin about a bare in 09 when Byrne and Sherman created this already two year gap, and it gets wider as our absolutely incompetant recruiting continues!

Blah, blah, blah, etc.!
