Aggies Gone Wild

You have got to go to Texags. They are trying to win the Gameday Summer Commercial Poll and are just going nuts as Nebraska has closed the gap.

You've got pathetic appeals going out to their new pals in the SEC to help with the vote. The SEC gets its first glimpse of exactly what they've invited to join them.

You've got Aggie paranoia about ESPN working against them.

You've got a few seemingly sane Ags embarrassed about the whole thing.

You've got an 1100 post thread tracking the lunacy.

SEC SEC SEC!

That's one crazy cult over there at Texags, the purest expression of what is wrong in College Station. God help the sane Ags.

Just imagine what they will be like when their
irrelevancy is doubled next year and even more
paranoia than ever and no Texas to blame
everything on.

Longhorn Lawyer's heart must already be racing
in anticipation.

By the way the title of this post is very frightening.
I looked at it for awhile considering whether to
open it or not. There were many images that
came to mind and most were not very
pleasant.

The two frontrunners by far are Texas A&M and Nebraska. Each has over 150,000 votes. The next closest is Washington State with about 53,000, followed by Clemson with about 27,000. At least two-thirds of the threads on the "A&M Football" board are about the Gameday poll. There's a big banner at the top of TexAgs that says "VOTE NOW AGS!"

You do know this is just for a 30-second TV commercial, right?

Didn't mean to put horrible images in anyone's head. Sorry about that.

I went back over to Texags a few minutes ago and the frenzy is more intense than ever. So is the paranoia. They're spewing their venom at Nebraska who must have done something wicked to have taken the lead.

Now the Aggies are back in front and it feels like a Detroit Super Bowl riot.

It will be fun to watch their new "brothers" in their SEC "family" recoil from old army.

edit: they're

Well it is football related so it's only natural they build up a big first half lead and then lose in the end in
the second half.

statalyzer, was it for best helmet or home field? I remember what you're talking about, but can't remember exactly what it was either.

There are two pages of threads over on Texags now celebrating their victory. In classic Aggie ways, they're inflating the victory as being them alone against the Big 10 and Big 12 who were all conspiring to vote for Nebraska (as if).

Even in light of such a magnificent achievement as winning an internet poll to have a TV commercial filmed at your school, it's hard not to laugh and think, "poor Aggies."

I think the SEC schools are indeed getting their first look into just how weird the Aggies can be.

Consider the Girls Gone Wild bus. Now consider Colley Station. It is imposible to picture the former anywhere near the latter. It just will never happen. I would be less surprised by the wreck of Titanic on display in Zilker Park.

A related example is taking place this weekend in Sheepville. Per texags, they
are making lots of new friends from Ole Miss, during their regional baseball
games. They are loving their new sec brothers (and getting love in return),
celebrating their new "family". Little do they realize that after those schools
get a few visits from these dolts, and finally understand that they are going
to be living with their crap for a long time, these new 'friends' are going to
quickly shun them, like every school in Texas has for years. They will be
the first school, ever, that is universally mocked by TWO conferences.
Another tradition in the making.

Maybe not so much so after tonight's game.
