I don't know much about who is or is not a good coach nor do I know who this coach is. So I ask you and the others who do, is this good? If so, how and why? It has nothing to do with them being Aggie or not, that does not matter to coaches the way it does to fans. They have a job and career to tend to and want to win wherever they go.
Why was this person brought in, what do they bring to the table and how will it possibly help us...in your opinion, which I trust.
l00p - this could be a good hire. She replaces Marla Looper, who left in June. McFalls has many ties in the state, so that could be a recruiting plus. Connie took the over the pitching duties from Looper a while back, and Coach Hill's specialty is hitting, so Jenn could fill the fielding etc void. She has had very good success at the high school level, serving as head coach and asst AD. An interesting hire, since McFalls previously eschewed college coaching after a couple short assistant stints at OU and A&M.
McFalls is also the only Olympian to get a hit off a then little known 17 year old high school kid who held the Olympic team to one hit and K'd 11 of them in 5 innings when her travel ball team played the Olympic team n 2000. The Olympic team finally won 1-0 in extra innings.
thanks, lostman. I had been wondering about her duties as well. My first thought was that she certainly seems to be well connected in the HS ranks which can only help with recruiting.
