Sounds like he had a great time with Houston Nutt at Ole Miss. Also sounds pretty much like he was using Aggie as a place-holder.

Corey Nelson is also taking other visits. Corey was supposedly up front with the aggy staff about looking around and they are okay with that, not that aggy has the leverage to tell Corey his offer is revoked if he takes other visits.

Can't blame them... they've had a little time to soak in what sucks about aggyland, the talent on that team, their 6-5 record and some terrible beatdown losses to ksu & blow-u. At some point they have to ask themselves: do I really want to spend the next 4-5 years there and experience a possible coaching change?

Okay, this is where my theory about TCU kicks in. But will it? If a recruit looks at TCU, will he see a 10+ win team with a chance to go to a BCS bowl every year, or will he see a less than capacity 50,000 seat stadium and playing in the Mountain West Conference?

I would think academics are pretty good at TCU. I would think class sizes would be small. That could be a plus.

regarding The TCU view... I think a recruit see's a wining program and a well coached team but that fact that they are in the Mountain West, will cost a fair deal of credibility. I think the more obvious is starting right at you and haven't seen it.

A&M has about as much talent if not more as TCU has on paper but yet the TCU brings it and is winning more games every year. The conference is supposedly not as strong as BCS conferences but if winning is important to you, I would go to TCU start all 4 years than to go to A&M lose 5-7 games a year and risk loosing the head coach or parts of the staff every year.

Right now TCU despite its blemishes is the better option and they are on TV more than the Aggies.

But if TCU's coach leaves, which is highly probable in the next four years, then that program has a risk of going back into the toilet bowl. Whereas with aggy, you don't have to worry because you know you're going to suck for all four years.
