It would seem more goes on in Aggieland than we know or would ever want to know.
 
I was confused by the tone of the article--was it serious or tongue-in-cheek, no pun intended? Well, sort of,

It was found in the opinion section which I would guess is strictly editorial and not necessarily investigated. You're guess is as good as mine but the story is hilarious and disturbing if true.

It sure answers a lot of questions though.
 
Well, when you have aggy milkmen filming themselves lipsynching to the "Ding Dong Song", and not to mention all the homoerotic corps traditions: squeezing, walking close enough for one's crotch to touch the *** of the corps member ahead in order to allegedly protect the dog, the jizz jar, etc. -- why is any of this any great surprise?

The tone of the piece is very telling about the culture of that place. The use of "homosexuals" as a noun is considered mainly clinical and outdated in common media usage today. Besides, it may not even adequately cover the situation being depicted in the article -- some of the men who participate in those sorts of activities may well be bisexual, for example.

I know this kind of stuff goes on in a lot of public places, but the fact that the guy wrote a whole opinion piece about it suggests one of two things, either of which lead me to the same conclusion: 1) it really is a widespread problem over in aggyland, much moreso than in other places, or 2) it is not any worse over there than anywhere else, but it freaked the guy out enough to write about it. Either way, it is indicative of a very sexually repressed atmosphere over there.
 
As is the case in various military organizations, aggies dont think its queer as long as they are doing it with another aggie.
 
I love how they say that "there can't be homosexuals here because we are so conservative". Everyone knows that there are tons of closeted Republican homosexuals.
 
It's funny that the writer pushes the idea that these are mostly off-campus participants and that people are driving in from Dallas, Houston and San Antonio for the trysts. Yea, right.
 
The only documentation of this "problem" was with a professor who witnessed activity back in the 80's and MIke, the admitted homosexual who admitted to 15 new partners a semester.

I agree that this whole article seems to be from some naive student who just found out that this type of stuff goes on and is wants to let everyone else in on this "dirty secret" as well as explain that it's not the students who are doing it.
 
The bigger Aggie scandal is that we know the Aggies were actually in those restrooms since they stole the breath mints from the urinals.
