aeron chair

looking for a hell of a deal on a herman miller aeron chair. anyone have any leads were I can pick up a brand new one or a gently used size "b" chair in the houston area?

I've tried ebay, but I don't want to deal with having something that big shipped.

I have one at the office and at home. looking to get my younger brother one for his new place. and you are right, they aren't worth the obscene amount of money they are listed for.

I never paid a grand for it. my personal one I got from that enron liquidation auction a while back. got it for $350, I think.

I've been looking to purchase one as well. My parents have two that I'm hoping to get my hands on. But the best price I've been seeing is around $500-$600, for the basic model.

A few years ago when the business I worked at went bankrupt, they held an auction. We had a mish-mash of old chairs. But the auctioneer brought in a half-at-truckload of Aerons for the auction and they went on average for about $200. So, my advice is to check business-closing/bankruptcy auctions.
