Advanced camp

just over three weeks before this happens. I am ready for it, having taken a day off work to attend on the 21st.

Got a lot reasons to attend: a new coach to meet, five new players to meet (if they are in Austin and not in class), and a change to see which players could be recruiting targets in the future. Along with some friends, we managed to ID several prospects last year that really stood out and some have signed or verbaled to the Horns while others still have Texas under consideration. Wonder who will be at the camp this year?

Two weeks til the camp starts. Last year, at least three players ended up signing/committing to Texas afterwards (Anne Marie & Chassidy for 2010 and Brady Sanders for 2011).

Wonder who will be there this year? Wonder if Nneka Enemkpali and Krytal Forthan and Cassie Peoples will be there? Along with several San Antonio players that the staff seem pretty high on, including Erica Donavan and Arielle Roberson? One player I would like to see is Raven Reyes of San Antonio, the leading rebounder in the city as a soph last year.

Coming up this Saturday! Starts at 1 pm at the FEC and Cooley.

Hope to meet some of the new players and see how the vets have improved physically. And, of course, talk to the coaches.

Also hope to see who stands out among the campers.

Anyone want to meet for lunch before the camp starts Saturday?

Camp starts at 3pm. Brick Oven opens at 12 noon. I'm going to get some pizza or pasta at 12:30pm. Brick Oven is a short two-three block walk south of the FEC.

So from the 2 verbal we received at the camp. Who else was there. Seem like a nice camp Good recruits in P.Little and R.Majors. Welcome to Texas

Was Nneka Enemkpali at the camp? Not to sound negative, but if she wasn't in attendance, that could be a sign, especially as it would have provided an opportunity to watch new assistant coach Ron Hughey in action . . .

Nneka was at the camp Sat. morning, but not a camper. I think she dropped in to visit which I take to be a good sign as far as she is still strongly considering us. Just my interpretion of her taking the time and making the effort to come watch that Saturday.

I noticed that Texas Womens Basketball Camp is very effective! I have not seen a college yet, pull in that many verbals. The future looks very bright for Texas. Good job staff
The new assist coach is already making a good impression.Look like a smart choice!
