Admission of Failure?

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says Washington "feels as broken as it did four years ago," when he took office.

He's most frustrated by the inability "to change the atmosphere" in the capital "to reflect the decency and common sense of ordinary people" who want leaders to solve problems.

He adds "there's enough blame to go around for that."

At least he admits his failures in this instance. Of course, makes sure he blames others...

I get a little tired of BO bashing but when he makes statements like these it just chaps my ***. It is like Barry Bonds or Terrell Owens claiming there is too much selfishnes in team sports and wondering why their personal examples havent changed anything.

BO has been the most divisive president i can remember. Not even close. he acts exactly like a spoiled 3 year old if he doesnt get his way and then blames the other side for not working together.

He is the absolute freaking King of saying one thing and then doing another or, even more often, claiming he is for something but then never ever actually commiting to it.

When he was elected, I actually hoped he would be succesful since it would have been a great inspiration for black Americans. But now I have zero respect for him as a president or as a man. His non-stop blaming of Bush and others is sad and pathetic. Great leaders stand up, put their hands up and say the buck stops here.

Elections have consequences. We elected an unqualified guy to be President. Now, before you say, but, but, but, Sarah Palin -- I'm not saying the other choice was a great one. My point is that we are just not nominating or electing great candidates. I'm not sure of the reason.

How many great people want to be in politics these days? How many great people want to take the incredible vicious attacks from the other side in order to obtain office? How many great people want to subject their families to the non-stop babble (hell, call it what it is: gossip) from the "news" media? How many great people want to work with the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Shiela Jackson Lee?

No, at the national level politics does not call many great people into its ranks. It calls weasels who don't mind trading all the crap I mentioned and more for a little piece of power, a little piece of being able to tell other people what to do, and reap a bunch of dirty money for themselves in the process. And most of the time that's what we're left to choose from - Weasel R or Weasel D.

I often wonder how much our President really buys into his own crap.

If he really thought his skinny resume was enough to change Washington fundamentally and get us all to march in the directions he claims we should be heading, he has an ego so large and a detachment from daily reality so huge that I wold suspect he suffers from some sort of psychological condition.

The other scenario that seems plausible is that he is just plain full of crap and his brand of deceit is a bit different from other insincere politicians.

Either way, it represents a bad state of affairs.
