Anyone have any ideas on what a full time adjunct professor should get paid at a Big 12 school? I believe full time is 9 hours of teaching. My wife may become one out of dislike for her real world job.
It really depends on the discipline. Engineering faculty, for example, will probably make twice the salary of English professors. What area are you curious about?
Well she will teach two sections of an architecture course and an interior design course. Its sixteen grand a semester starting for teaching 10 hours. Not bad for not having any research responsibilities and summers off. She wont have to do much at all outside of office hours. Good part time job if you ask me, plus she can still do all the **** around the house yippie!!! Her full time job paid a bit more, but considering the advantages of this deal its a no brainer.
The architecture course is a 3d modeling thing with ACAD and related software. Its a class for both architecture students and interior design students. The studio will be interior design, sophmores I think. The college of architecture here includes architecture, interior design, and construction science.
