ACT database

We're thinking of buying ACT for our company, but I've seen some very bad reviews of it online. Although, I've also heard people just rave about it too.

Anyone here use ACT before and like it? Any other database software you might recomend? Is there a difference in which version you get...ie 06 vs. 09?

i like ACT. I think it does a good job at what it is supposed to do.

With that said, you should really inquire about an SAAS application (meaning web based). Something like crm ZOHO. THis offers way more features and allows you to access it from anywhere.

Salesforce.com. Act is old school, SFDC is the only CRM I've ever heard anyone actually rave about. Not to mention, there is a ton more functionality with it as developers are creating aps for it. Oh, and you can access it on your iPhone too.
