ACL Schedule Complaint Thread

You already mentioned the Plant/Krauss and Beck, I don't understand putting 2 of your top 5 on the same slot but I'll end up seeing Plant/Krauss anyway. I was a little disappointed in seeing N.E.R.D early on Friday but oh well.

I saw Robert Plaint and Allison Krause's recent concert on one of the HD channels. I specifically remember hearing a version of Black Dog, so yes, their will be some Led Zep.

I saw Robert Plant and Alison Krause at Jazz Fest in New Orleans- from the very front (except for the cameras) - do not miss that show. There is some Led Zepelin music. The songs are great and the voices are outstanding - a legend and an angelic looking woman with an angelic voice.

I wished the concert would not end. They actually went on early at jazzfest in New Orleans so we got a good long show.

I paid $150 per ticket to see him up close - worth every penny

P/C...the stage set up is the same as last year.

AT&T Blue Room(formerly AMD)
Kiddie Stage
Austin Ventures(Rock Island)

The air-conditioned 'goodie station' and TV lounge is between Dell and AT&T.

I like the schedule.

The beauty of ACL, if you do not want to go, do not buy tickets, someone else will end up purchasing it. Or, go to Craigslist closer to the date of the festival.

Plant/Krauss over Beck any day of the week.

I was at a Robert Plant taping of Austin City Liimits less than ten years ago, probably closer to five years ago.

He did a few LZ songs.

I haven't been to ACL since 2000, when I thought I was going to die. Manu Chao with a big *** crowd will be awesome, I would go just for that.....but I will be in Amsterdam for work.

Get off my lawn!

j/k. I have listened to his music since I heard it from my Spanish teacher years back... and kept listening. I would prefer he play more than talk but whatever... my guess is that he will and given that he played for hours on end for a NY show... I do not think I will be disappointed.

Look for the pasty white guy in the crowd who can't speak spanish worth a damn... that'll be me.

Putting Beck and Plant/Krauss together is absolutely ******* terrible. They have Mars Volta (awful) headlining by themselves but mother ******* Beck and the guy from the greatest rock band ever to live sharing time? Move Volta down to the 2nd to last spot on Friday or Sunday and have Beck headline Friday. That's just awful.

The rest looks solid. I can only find one "gap" between good shows all three days.

i was hoping that the reunited Butthole Surfers would headline with Paul Leary on guitar.

instead, we get the ******* Foo Fighters.

hurray.

P/C, check out Galactic on Sunday if you get the chance. They're a funk group out of New Orleans and they put on a hell of a show.

I'm pretty sure Fogerty does play some CCR songs at his concerts, even if he's getting paid. Jimmyjazz will know for sure. He had a thread a few weeks/months ago about going to a Fogerty concert. He's supposed to very good live. I'm definitely going to catch his show.

Yes, well then 2002, or whenever the first one was. It was so hot I thought I was going to melt into the lake.

Manu Chao is well worth admission with a huge crowd.
