Acid stained concrete

Has anyone had this done ?. Looking at pictures it appears to be very nice. Just wondering about the cost, versus ceramic tile. Any advice, or comments appreciated.

We did it in a room that previously had carpet over old tiles. It was hard getting the old tiles up and cleaning the old black tar mastic from the 40's.

But the stained floors look great, it was super easy once the prep was done.

We had outdoor concrete installed and had it stained. It has faded a bit over the past 4 years but it looks nice. Didn't have it scored.

only do it if it is a new slab pour. If you are looking to pull up carpet or tile and do it you wont be happy. (I know from experience).

You need to make sure the concrete is kept in good shape during the construction process and does not have tack strips for carpet to pull up, glue from tile or padding on it and paint from the overspray when they painted the walls all over it.

Summary:
Yes, if new concrete.
No, if old concrete.
