He also mentions that Texas' coaches are stepping up the recruiting on LB Corey Nelson. That pleases me. Hicks, as an OOS, is a longshot by definition. I'm all for aggressively pursuing Nelson and bringing him into the LB fold with Jackson and Benson.

Mack said the same thing a day or two ago on mackbrown-texasfootball.com when interviewed about the spring game. He said something to the effect that there will be 200 to 300 sophomores in attendance in addition to the handful of recruits that are left for this class that are being recruited.

I am assuming Mack "probably" had a timeline in his head, and if Hicks didnt make it in by the Spring Game, he was going to make a push to Nelson...I agree with this apporach. Sure, Hicks 'may' be better than Nelson, but Nelson is not much of a drop off if any, Nelson is in Texas, Nelson is in Dallas.

Hicks had his chance to get down, and he didnt...Let's go get Nelson!

When can Hicks take his official visit? Isn't this funded by the coaches? I would think the coaches would try to get him to make his visit so he could possibly get an offer.
