Acapulco/Ixtapa in July

Doing some preliminary planning...

Would y'all go to Acapulco or Ixtapa in July? I know it's the rainy season and I have been to Ixtapa in late August without any issues... no hurricanes and, for the most part, no rain. Would you feel comfortable going in July? I'm debating... I'll probably add trip insurance for $100 or so bones, just in case. Would you risk it?

Oh well... didn't really get any advice here. After doing some research, I feel pretty confident we'll be OK in ACA sometime in July... may get some afternoon rains but otherwise should be safe enough. Yes... travel insurance will be in the plans. Staying at Las Brisas/
