Academy jinxing the Horns

I realize it's business (and smart business, too), but Academy is staying open late after "a Texas win" to sell national championship gear.

I'm nervous already, and i get freaked out when stuff like this starts happening. Don't mess with the football gods!!!

It doesn't sound like they are predicting a UT win and the extra hours are locked in stone. It sounds like IF we win, then they will reopen or stay open longer.
Not a jinx at all in my opinion.

Now if someone from within Academy were to bust open a box of tshirts, put one on, and post a picture, then that would be a jinx.

Actually that is good marketing and they have done similar things during the NBS season
Opening up after a team wins a divisonal championship.

You rock Academy!

I just found out the Longhorn championship gear is being printed today...

...in College Station.

So, we're pretty much doomed.

Well, we're DOOOOOMED!!! anyway.

But, if they're running a similar ad in Alabama, then I think we're alright as the jinx will be counter-jinxed.

It's a shame so much waste is made from the school that doesn't win and all the shirts/caps etc. that get printed.

Please tell me the cause/effect relationship of a store in Austin planning to stay open after a win, and a game being played 2,000 miles away in Pasadena, CA . . .

Last time I checked any rational reference, there is zero correlation between the two.

I work for Outhouse Designs - one of the local (in ATX) screenprinting shops that works with UT. If the Horns were to give me a crystal ball for my birthday (1/7) like I asked for then we would be coming in at 2am to print 14,000+ shirts.

I hope I don't get any sleep!
