We including the press or maybe most expecially the press in their quest for stories never seem to learn to not rush to judgement. I guess that is human nature.

I think when it is all said and done that Trayvons mother has it right. This was just a terrible accident.
She seems to be the only sane one and she is the one who hurts the most.
 
6721, how long till Sharpton tells us all that Zimmerman cut himself on the back of the head, and forehead, and rolled around on his back to get grass stains, all in his attempt to cover up his murderous act?

While Trayvon's mother at first stated that this was an accidental death, didn't she/family attorney recant her comment, saying that she was misunderstood, and she instead does not believe it was an accident, but heinous murder?

and in the abc link her attorney's try to make light of the puc saying zimmerman couldn't have been hurt too bad since he didn't go to hospital.

The point I think the pic made is Trayvon probably did slam his head into the concrete which means trayvon was on top at some point.
it does not mean he deserved to be shot point black but we don't even know yet whether there was a struggle for the gun.
 
True. He could have slipped and fallen. A number of scenarios are possible, and that's for a jury to decipher. That didn't stop the media and outspoken public mastheads from declaring Zimmerman "guilty until proven innocent".

This photograph, if accurate and real, may serve to help put the brakes on the rush to judgment until the facts of the case are actually known. ABC seems to be swallowing the pill with pleasure, trying to persuade the public that they weren't quick to scream guilt after releasing the initial video of Zimmerman in the garage bay of the PD.

Could multiple injuries to the head come from one hit after someone slipped? I am asking, couldn't slipping cause the head to bounce enough to cause wounds in more than one place on his head?

that said, even if trayvon pounded him that does not justify IMO killing
 
As I have maintained in the past, there are some things we do know. Zimmerman shot thy kid in the chest after surveiling and following him for no good reason.

You won't get very far with that argument.

The SGL is overreaching, it needs to go. Zimmerman should be found not guilty. Then the SGL needs to be repealed.
 
It is way too early to say he is guilty or not guilty. The head wound does tend to back Zimmerman's version of events although I suppose he could have obtained it some other way.

Other than the clear head wounds on the back there are also the early photos showing his nose bleeding and a cut lip


There is also a witness who says they saw trayvon on top of Zimmerman
In hindsight all that does not seem to justify shooting but we weren't there
so that will be up to the attorneys and jury to sort out.
 
Actually, it is up to the judge first. The next step is for the Judge to determine if there is Immunity involved.

If judge delcalres Immunity, there can be no Criminal or Civil trial. If the judge does not declare Immunity, then it goes to Criminal trial and depending on the outcome and the reason for the outcome it could possibly limit the Civil suit.
 
I love how you always post the extreme, one case in a thousand, this case was probably out of a hundred. How about all the Home Burglaries that happen? What about the old lady firing the shotgun through the door to scare away the burglar?

I would recommend against strangers walking up to my door. If you don't live there, you don't know the owner and you haven't been invited, be cautious going up to any house.
 
Michtex gives an example of a great tragedy born out of a misunderstanding. It is terrible but I could give you 100 times as many examples on the other side of the coin where tragedy might have been prevented if the targeted victim had a firearm and sufficient training to respond. I wish my cousin had been armed when a gang banger murdered him as he was leaving a Walmart.
 
Apparently it is inappropriate to defend your self if you are attacked by a black person. Any non-black person who would dare be so bold, is without question a racist and probably worse.

Time to string the boy up. No more trials or investigations, or any of that kind of BS. Hang him high and do it now.

Case closed.

Foreman: "Yes we have your honor. We find the defendant not guilty of second degree murder, by reason the prosecutor is an idiot."

Judge: "You are free to go Mr. Zimmerman. Next time try to shoot the person BEFORE he smashes your head into the concrete."
 
I don't know what happened that night and nobody else on here knows much more than me. we don't have the evidence and we only know these parcels of information that is released. Thus the OP is making jumps which just aren't backed up by any of the evidence we know.

An official investigation was finally initiated the last month and now we have charges and an upcoming trial. I think justice will prevail through our legal system. It is sad that Trayvon cannot speak for himself but hopefully the ballistic evidence and first reponder testimony will help do that for him. And then the process and jury will decide if Zimmerman was justified or not.

Seems to me that what could have happened was that Zimmerman provoked Martin into a confrontation by following him and calling the police on him. When Zimmerman was confronted a fight ensued. During the fight Zimmerman produced a firearm and shot and killed Martin. A fight that did not need to happen and should have ended in some bruises and a little bit blood ended up with a dead body due to the presence of a firearm. My question is would Zimmerman who felt he needed to use his firearm to save himself felt as bold to folllow Zimmerman at night without it? Thus IMO is he did not have a firearm and simply made the call from the safety of his vehicle or from his residence then this would have never happened. Just my 2 cents.

What jumps? As it has been pointed out over and over and over we don't know all the facts
and most of us when speculating or theorizing qualify the words. by using probably or maybe.

This is likely true but completely irrelevant. Bad choices don't strip you of your legal rights.

Did he? I don't know. Did Zimmerman shoot him in cold blood? I don't know.

Good luck prosecution. However, they need to know more or have a better case after seeing this photo this is just a shameful reaction to the mob howling for blood.
 
Riots I'm sure. People don't care who is at fault at this point (well I do).

Prosecuter better have more evidence. However, I think I read they may not have had the photo of the bleeding head before they indicted so that would mitigate somewhat.
