Nate Askew is a good receiver, and huge. He absolutely killed Smithson Valley last year, and had a good night tonight. I don't know why they throw it to anybody else. frankly.
I was impressed with Green, really. People don't make the corner against the NB defense, and Green did it a few times. Wort, Bordano, and Grametbauer make it tough in the middle of the field, thats for sure.
I like Madison's secondary. 1 pick 6 and some really tough hits after the catch. I thought they played NB's spread pretty well. Andrew Green is a player, much better as a DB than at RB.
I still can't figure out why NB got away from running their QB. They were doing really well with it, though his runs may have been improvisations and not called QB draws. If NB has a single running back, they win this game going away.
I'm concerned about Wort. The injury situation did not look good, yet the NB coaches kept running him back out there. Seemed really stupid given everything that kid has at stake.
Without looking it up, I think he was 25-150, or something like that.
He got almost all of that on a very few plays where he was able to get to the outside. There was nothing in the middle of the field all night long. Wort, Bordano, and Grametbaur played a very good game.
