Can a camera and tv be connected by cat 6 cable? We're going to set up a camera in one room and the tv it's going to display on in another part of the building. I've found out from our architect that cat 6 is going to be run between the 2 and I've never heard of it being used for this, though I admit my knowledge in A/V stuff is lacking.

Unless you have CCTV based hardware (typically called a hub) that supports CAT5/6, then you'll need to get some coax to CAT5/6 adapters.

Is this a surveillance project? If so, the signal has to be modulated. Cat 6 is definitely what you want installed though.
