are you sure your provider does HDMI? many TW cities do not

TW in Houston does, their new Digital Box / DVR has HDMI output (I believe it's the 8300 model...also a 120GB hd now). I paid $99 for a Belkin's gold double titanium alloy space ship technology plated HDMI cable at Fry's recently. I'm sure Monster Cable's version is like $200 bucks or something.

It looks great...but don't really know if the cable is helping it or not.

I'm not talking about the Settop box or your TV, I'm tlaking about them actually delivering a signal via HDMI. thats the catch

out of curiosity how can you tell? On the new HD/DVR it indicates that it's at 1080 resolutions. Is HDMI suppose to be higher? Not like my tv can handle higher...just curious.
