But who cares? I'm more interested in how many he hit that weren't enhanced by steroids.
 
Just subtract his Ranger total from 600, Texanne. He only juiced when he was around that culture in Texas.

Someday they'll come up with a stat conversion for players that played in this era. Take the seasons they are suspected of juicing and then multiply by a steroid cofactor, such as .75....then you get an idea of what they would have produced without the juice. Maybe that will help in evaluating season records and and career stats.
 
It's a sad thing. I really don't believe he ever needed them. He was one of the great natural talents in the game.........Mickey Mantle, Ken Griffey Jr., etc...........just sad.
 
I worked for a company summers , before I became a teacher , coach , and official. They would pimp PED's to their employees.

I took Andro, Tribulus, and Creatine for about six months...mid 90's. Anyone who claims these substances, let alone steroids, do not produce unreal results is a liar.
I have been an athlete most of my life. I played football, basketball , baseball, softball, tennis, golf, water skiing.......all kinds of ****.
In 96 , after taking this garbage for two months, I hit a softball 50 feet over the top of the scoreboard at Boomer. Now I'm happy because according to this guy that was all me.
My max bench went from 210 to 350 in two weeks. Andro has some nice side effects, but outside of that it's garbage.

Sounds like you could be an expert witness if any of this ever ends up in court.

PEDs may not increase the ability to see the ball, but they sure increase the player's ability to whip his bat around to make contact faster.
