A perspective on Arkansas

Full disclosure: I'm an OU fan who lives in Arkansas. I enjoy reading this board.

It might not interest you, but this will go down as the worst Arkansas team I've ever seen. They are toothless. I've been here 30 years and they are on the rocks.

Just an FYI. You guys should cruise Saturday.

There seems to be an abundance of confidence in Austin going into this game. I for one am always weary of this confidence. I realize Arkansas is bad... but people tend to forget this is a rivalry game against a team that does have some talent.

Yes, I hope our team doesn't discount the rivalry aspect.

Arkansas hates us more than they love themselves, and because we don't think anything about them, we discount how much this game means to the pig faithful. They will be fired up, and we need to be, too.

tbone - it originally sounded like tooflesssh as he typed....

The Arkansas offense leads the SEC and Dick has thrown for 640 yards with only one pick.

I too believe this will be a skull fricking but I believe many here are wrongfully discounting a "talent gap". Arkansas has talent, it's just very young and not on the defensive side of the ball.

Dick has played well in what was essentially two practice games. Its like hearing that a player tore it up in the spring game. You like to hear it, but by no means does it guarantee that he can do it against a real opponent.
the Arkansas defense is guaranteed to suck on Saturday. The offense has a chance to do a few things positive, but could just as easily lay an egg.

One thing about almost losing to two weak opponents is that the staff didn't have a chance to hold anything back. There will be no suprises on Saturdays. Just hopes of improvement.

640 yards is pretty awesome no matter who you are playing. It should be another good game for our secondary to gain some experience against a throw-first team.

I hope DKR or someone will come back to the campus this week and give the team a little lesson on what Texas-Arky means.
