A painful memory

This is the 1984 Cotton Bowl we lost to Georgia 10 - 9 and cost us an NC. If you look at it carefully when they had 3rd and 4 that on their td run there was some holding. Too bad the refs missed it. It would have been hard for them to have made up that yardage in two downs against that defense. But we still should have got at least one td instead of having to settle for three field goals.

Also twer better if our players downfield had let the ball go and run out a lot of the clock. I think our defense would have held.

We shot a lot of blanks in that game. I think mciver had several int's including one in the end zone. While ward kicked 3 field goals he missed 2, maybe 3. Should not have been close. Coulda shoulda woulda. I don't blame Craig Curry one bit for that game. He was one helluva safety who made a mistake. It shoulda never mattered.

I agree kbrown. We should have had enough of a lead to have to where that last td wouldn't have mattered.
