AAS: Aston: Young Horns gained experience in humbling season

Horns will have 13 on the roster next season, hopefully all healthy. All five starters return as do Anne Marie and Ashley from knee problems. Sara is not listed but I guess she could join the team at midseason like she did this past season although the need for depth in the post should not be as severe as this past season. Four seniors this coming season, along with one junior (Nneka) and one RS soph (Brady). Lots of experience coming back. PG is going to be an interesting battle between Celina and Ashley.

Aside from staying healthy, next season's group needs imporved point guard play and better improved perimeter shooting; not sure those needs have been addressed with the 2013 recruiting class, although perhaps Jones and Taylor will surprise.

Based solely on that article, there doesn't appear to be a JUCO PG prospect coming in to help out.

Looks like Celina and Ashley will be it at PG with relief from Chas and Empress as needed. We got two true points coming in 2014 in Brooke and Tasia. Really need Celina to gain confidence in her shot. I think this year of experience will pay off with improved perimeter shooting from our returning guards. Both Brianna and Nekia will have experienced players around to help ease them into the game.
