Now: It is spectacular when we make a routine play.

Now: You wonder if our starting pitcher will last the inning


Then: You knew we'd get some clutch hitting, you just wondered who'd do it that day.

Now: You wonder who will even get a hit.


Then: You knew it didn't matter who came out of the bullpen.

Now: Unfortunately, it still doesn't matter who comes out of the bullpen.


Then: We were at our best in a close game

Now: We hope we can make it a close game

Not negative/ Just the cold plain truth. Steady if not spectacular defense, great pitching, and clutch hitting. This game is not that hard to figure out. More than anything basebal is pitching and defense. And most of that is mental....95%. Physically, they all know how to throw and catch a baseball. 2 things stand out about this team. 1st, they have no mental toughness. As evidenced by the multitude of errors. 2nd, they have no heart. It's been a LONG time since I was able to say that about a Texas baseball team.

Pitching is 80% of the defensive,unless no one behind him can field the ball or catch the ball. That is a pitcher's nightmare.
