So, given all the excitement in Malfunction Junction surrounding their inevitable beatdown, I began wondering how to quantify the level of blind stupidity among the maroon moron faithful. And when I saw the online reports of ticket prices, I thought that might offer us an opportunity to do just that. So follow along.
During the game it was reported that the average ticket price on secondary markets was going for $1000+.
There were about 104,000 people in attendance, of which about 90% were wearing maroon (or turd brown fake army uniforms). Assuming 94K mouthbreathing aggy in the house, and maybe 60K season ticket holders who held their own tickets we can calculate as follows:
60K x $200 face price = $12,000,000
30K x $1000 StubHub = $30,000,000
4K student, band, fake army freak freebies = 0
So, while these numbers are rough estimates, we can safely say aggy nation spent a collective ~$42,000,000.00 (roughly half of Jimbo's buyout money) to watch their inept offense get stuffed, embarrassed, and shut out by Daddy Texas.
So, to @Gladius&Pilum and any other jizz jar donator who may be lurking, I have one simple question.
Was it worth it?
