Just like that Jorge Flores who won the "2007 Sueño MLS", there is another Mexican-American kid getting a tryout with the U-20 team.Felix Garcia is a first generation American from Laredo, TX. In the interview this was mentioned after a quote- "said Garcia through Vela, serving as an interpreter".
We need to continue to find these guys and keep them up above
the Rio Grande. And sometimes, our coaches need to shut up and let players develop individual skills.

This doesn't surprise me. Does anyone find it weird that our best, most creative players are ALWAYS from other countries/cultures? Adu, Altidore, Ramos, Reyna, etc.... Or, in the case of Donovan and Clint Mathis, they just don't listen to the developmental coaches. Our teaching structure absolutely kills the creativity of our attack.

Oh, and how pissed off would the Mexicans be if we starting beating them with players from their own culture. It'd serve them right. If I'm not mistaken, their current coach made a big stink about how he was only going to play native Mexicans on the National team. A few bad appearances later, he started bringing in the Brazilians.
