8700 off sticker for a 2008 explorer xlt that lists msrp for 30,500, is that good?

How much should I pay assuming I want teh vehicle?

I'm in Austin and local Ford dealerships have been advertising for around $11k off certain vehicles. I had them match a similarly advertised price on a different vehicle.

Not sure what they are doing now but I see that you already purchased. Looks like a decent deal on the truck.

They claimed teh 11k off was for f150 family trucks.

we went to find a ford excape hybrid but after looking most of teh weekend in dfw there were only a few and they were over sticker price! one bastid was charging 4k over sticker!(not even leather seats too)

We will probably go hybrid or whatever kind of high mileage car on the next one when hopefully the pricing gets sensible.

Seems to be a solid ride so far. very comfortable.

I got a 1/3 off of MSRP a year ago on an F150 Screw if that helps. Play the dealers against each other 3 days before month end. One will bite.
