8 Year Old Blues Guitar Wunderkind

You got that right. Sean Costello, Josh Smith, and Derek Trucks are 3 that come to mind. They get hooked up with shady managers and/or have parents that see $$$$ signs. Costello labored for years and never really broke out before dying earlier this year. Smith never really has done anything at all. Trucks has had some success but not really that wide spread. The first time I saw him play live, he was 13 or 14.

On the other hand, Charlie Sexton has done pretty well for himself.

The first time I saw him it was with Little Charlie and the Nightcats. Charlie was about 11 years old and had a pack of cigarettes rolled up in his shirt sleeve.

He was pretty good, too.
