Playmaking corner with track speed. Had 5 ints last year and returned two for touchdowns. Not on the AAS Fab 55. But the list came out eary so the AAS had less chance to evaluate players and figure out who is getting offered by the big schools. The kid seems to have the physical tools at a premium position.

i think the approach this year to recruiting (early especially) has changed. I was wondering if any of the more "in the know" posters could comment on the perception that we seem to be taking fewer commits but they are from prospects under the radar.

They must be talented to have gotten an offer for sure. I like the approach of finding the diamonds in the rough--it seems to have been working for TCU and boise all these years. The kids that are overlooked, often work harder than the "chosen ones."

I'm certainly not "in the know" but I wonder if more of the guys at the top of the lists are taking a "wait and see" attitude about the new Texas coaching staff so UT is filling in the guys they are confident they want at positions of need like CB.

So Akina departs Bellmont for the House of Stoops2 in AZ, returns 4 glorious weeks later and... surprise, we land an under-the-radar true CB (of which we desperately in need of in the line up).

Anything to this about Akina possibly picking the pocket of Stoops?
