Yeah, good point, Pericles. Rick doesn't care about free-throw shooting. This is obvious because anytime an athlete is a poor free-throw shooter, it's the result of bad coaching.

This is true at all levels of the game. Shaquille O'Neal and Tim Duncan suck at free throws because Phil Jackson and Gregg Popovich have their heads up their asses.

Since the mid-1960s, college men’s players have made about 69 percent of free throws awarded. In 1965, the rate was 69 percent. This season it's 68.8. It has dropped as low as 67.1 but never topped 70.

Anyone who shoots 69% + from the charity stripe helps you win.

PS: Tim Duncan FT % 2010-2011 = 71%
