6th Street

My wife and I will be visiting my sister in Austin this weekend. I was wondering what were the best places to party on 6th Street? We like country, blues and piano bars. We went into a place called the Ivory Cat a couple of years and had a blast! Is this place still open? Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!!

I think the Cat is still open, though I have never been in there. You may want to take a stroll down to 4th street to Cedar street or perhaps the Elephant Room. Pete's piano bar might be a good place for you guys to check out as well. (It's on 6th, not 4th)

There is a little something for everyone on 6th, though most of the places down there cater to the college crowd with rap, top40, rock, etc.
