One other interesting tidbit in that article is that every Big XII program has had a national award winner and/or consensus All-American in the last decade except Iowa State...and aggy. I tried to confirm that but couldn't.

Of course, Texas leads the way with 16 on the list.
 
On that same topic the BIGXII is also consistently at the bottom of the list when it comes to producing NFL players.

Out of BCS conferences I think its 5th ahead of the Big East.
 
"Big drop off after Big ten" is a silly statment ...
Note: 401 is the top # of NFL signings
#2 positioon has a 50 drop signings
#3 Position has about a 50 drop
#4 has 14 drop of NFL signings

just look at the numbers your statment is misleading...

There is a huge drop off after #1 is dead on true... after #2 is true but then it gets closer and much less of a drop between all ranked positions...
