#5 Utah vs. #12 Arizona

It seems that everyone is picking #12 Arizona over #5 Utah. So in this case I guess that the real upset would be Utah winning.

Hate to say it but I'm going to go with the masses. I like Zona in that matchup. That's one of three 12 seeds I have winning - Northern Iowa and Western Kentucky being the other two.

Husker, I've got W. Kentucky also but I think Purdue will win. I'm not sure yet what I'm gouing to do with Arizona vs. Utah.

Husker, congrats on your Big 12 tourney pick. I'm not real crazy about Western Kentucky. They are suspect on defense and I think Illinois will control the pace of play. The 12-5 upset I'm looking at is Wisconsin over Florida State....it probably has to do more with the length that FSU has to travel for that game. Don't know if I'm going to pull the trigger though.

Other upsets I will probaby pick in a bracket or two (I'm filling out at least 5):
Dayton over West Virginia (Huggy has underachieved in the NCAAs throughout his career)
Portland State over Xavier
Temple over Arizona State

I'm not real crazy about Florida State losing to Wisconsin. Wisconsin plays in the Big 11 (second worst BCS conference this year only behind the SEC) and Florida State just made the finals of a rugged ACC field, beating North Carolina in the process. Besides, the Badgers were only 3-6 away from home in Big 10 play this year. They don't play well on the road.

I'm looking more at WKU and UNI because - well, the Big 11 was suck this year. Two five seeds from a terrible conference, against teams that have had NCAA experience before. Also, regarding that UNI v. Purdue matchup, UNI is an excellent road team - 8-1 away from home in the Valley this year.

Arizona sucks this year, they will not beat Utah. The media is overhyping them. Utah will win this game.

Western Ky. did beat Louisville early on.

Arizona sucks. Utah will advance to the Sweet Sixteen with a win over Cleveland St. in the second round.

I contemplated the Vikings but ultimately went with the safe pick in Wake.

As far as 5/12 matchups, my only upset this year is Ken McDonald's Hilltoppers (gotta pull for a former Barnes' assistant).
