This is crap. I dont mind in-and-out and five guys being in the top 5 but burger king and mcd's is a joke. i like five-guys but the ones out east are better imo. Whataburger has got to be there. i also like carl's jr. and fatburger. that would prob be my top 5 fast food chain burgers in no particular order...whataburger, in-and-out, five guys, carl's jr. and fatburger.
 
I have eaten plenty of burgers from Wendy's and not once can I ever remember stopping and thinking, "Mmmm, this IS a tasty burger!". Has not happened.
 
No one here has mentioned Carl's Jr. Their burgers are pretty good for fast food..

I will put a Culver's Bacon Double Deluxe up against any fast food burger.

I do loves me some Five Guys, but I admit I went there about 10 times before I ever tried their burger -- I love their kosher dog with mustard and grilled onions. But their burgers are seriously good. Way, waaaaaay better than Whataburger -- even putting them in the same sentence is wrong.

Carl's Jr is good stuff, too, at least in LA. I haven't eaten at one here in Texas.

But I'd love to have a Fat Burger.
 
5 guys costs about double what Whataburger costs. So if someone else is buying, sure 5 guys is a good burger. No shame in eating one. I still prefer Whataburger. Whataburger has a better ratio of everything. I don't have to ask for mustard. They serve Dr. Pepper. I don't have to order 5 lbs of potatoes to get fries. They serve Dr. Pepper.

Wendy's used to do a Texas double double cheeseburger for .99 cents which was incredible. Great deal. I would get two of those a drink for 3.22 when I was in HS for lunch. Had all the veggies on it, and mustard of course.

I'll just keep going to places I don't have to ask for a burger to be prepared properly.
Also, I will ask those here (with one notable exception) if you have eaten a Wolfburger @ Williams in Hillsboro. Seriously great. They don't even have a sign though, so you kinda need to know where you are going. You will see it packed though all the time.

Hey GemStateJim, I think I speak for all Texans when I say, go ahead and F right off. If you don't like mustard on your burger then go ahead and admit you're a communist or at the very least have communist taste buds.

Sorry I wasn't around to view the previous threads you speak of but ketchup on a burger is blasphemous. You sir, are the one who needs counseling.
