We should have been that going into the tourney, we made it to a tie for 5th in the tourney, and outlasted all the other teams in the top ten that were ranked below us.

I think 2003 we ended the season ranked #3. This has got to be the second best season ever in the Rankings, no?

Hell, I'd say it might be our most accomplished team ever. We would have killed the michigan state team that the 03 squad got to face on the road to the final four.

We just ran into a buzz saw in Memphis that was peaking and playing at the top of their game.

Damn fine team Calipari has- even if I can't stand him as a coach he sure can attract talent and frees them up to do what they do best.

I could foresee Louisville being ranked ahead of them. That's about it from the non-1 seeds.

If you told me in November:

-- A B12 co-championship
-- EE
-- wins over Tennessee, UCLA and KU...
I'm not sure I would have believed you.

I like titles, but high rankings are nice too. I imagine recruits like to see that too.

Great year for Texas basketball. Bright future ahead if things continue on the current path. I hated to watch the loss today but had a feeling it was a huge possibility after watching Memphis dismantle MSU in the SS round.

Way to go team, coaches, strength and conditioning staff, etc, a heck of a year with record setting W's to boot!

I think the justification in moving Louisville ahead of us would be simply the fact that they looked better than us.

If Texas had to play Davidson to get to the Final 4....Texas gets in imo. Memphis is playing at an incredibly high level right now. Good luck to them. They are extremely talented. Great season for the Horns.
