If you want a correct answer you need to tell us the vehicle. There are multiple ways to get "4WD" from true 4x4 with a locked differential to an AWD in which all 4 ties have some form of traction. Different limits on each.
Do you mean more specific than Jeep Wrangler? I guess some years may have a different wheel base or package (Rubicon) than others but he has a Wrangler.

No that was real clear. Unfortunatly I never saw the last sentence. I am going back to remedial reading. I had the same 4WD in my Jeep Commanche and 55 in 4Hi seems about right.
I was only partly sarcastic because there may be specific or stark differences in Wrangler types. Maybe even in wheelbases for all I know. Stuff like that may make a big difference. But yeah, I was being a smarty to some degree.
