my dad called me last night and asked if i would go pick out a 4 wheeler for him today... he wants a 350cc or so with 4wheel drive. what should i get for him...? we have bombardier, kawasaki, suzuki and polaris dealers here.

wasting his money will be fun... no buyer's remorse for me.

I have a Polaris Magnum 330 cc 2 wheel drive. I really like it. It's a comfortable ride and is also pretty tough - I drove it into a ditch (6 1/2 feet deep) going full speed last year and after replacing the brushguard and one A-arm that bent, it runs just like before. It has an automatic transmission and a drive shaft.

Plus, it's made in the USA!

I bought a Polaris Magnum 330 4X4 in Camo last winter. Lots of fun. Inadvertently got into some water that almost reached my knees (while I sat) and it pulled me through. There are bigger, faster ATV's but this one does exactly what I need.

Honda, honda, and honda. $5100 4x4 350 rancher, $5500 4x4 450 foreman. Drive to where ever neccessary, all other 4 wheelers pale in comparison in dependability.

Have a Polaris Sportsman 400...can say anything good or bad about other brands cause I have no experience with them. But for my ringing endorsement.....I wouldn't hesitiate to buy another one.

I have a 400cc Yamaha Kodiak 4x4 and love it. The guys I hunt with have Polaris, Kawasaki, Artic Cat, etc. I ridden all of them. They're all about the same, just depends on your preference and the options. The ones I hate to ride are the ones with hard seats. I'm sure Hondas are great and reliable, but I've found them to be priced much higher than comparable 4 wheelers.

You ever considered leaving Llano to shop or are you a member of the "Shop Llano" organization?
This Grizzly 660 is one bad hombre! Mine is Khaki. "El Oso Grande!"

I used to own a Kodiak 4x4 and had no problems with it. Also, I too have heard nothing but great things about the Polaris models. Extremely reliable.

Now it gets expensive, starting with the Stealth Exhaust system, bumpers, brush guards, gun racks, etc.

Like my mom pointed out after the first deer season my dad had his Yammie-

"'So, that's like, what, $5,500 per deer?"
