Kelsey and Brianna, join the other two and come on down!

Glad to hear there is still interest on both sides regarding Kelsey Lang; here's an article on her game:

The Link

Brianna Taylor is a new name to me. Dekaney lost to Duncanville in the state 5A championship game in March, so perhaps those that watched have some feedback. I did read where she has had her share of nagging injuries. Her teammate, Shunta Nevitt, is committed to Texas Tech.

Great to hear!

Lang would be great with her versatility in the post and ability to run the floor.

Here's Hoopgurlz eval on Brianna. She sounds like another player with a motor that runs all the time.

Hope all of them enjoy their recruit trip to Texas. And want to be a Longhorn.
Hookem'
KA and Staff you are doing a good job!

When you look at most recruiting services regarding the in-state class of 2013, there are some mixed opinions, but most players have fallen from their initial rankings, and the highest in-state plyaer (by any service) may be #31, I believe.

With that in mind, for Coach Aston and her staff to have only been around for about 5 months, they've done a really good job to secure commitments from 2 players ranked between #40 and #60 nationally by at least one recruiting service, with a chance at a third commitment in that range.

You can't ask for more than that from a completely new coaching staff, especially when the in-state talent is below what it has been recently nationally (according to those who publish those rankings).

Congrats to all -- recruits, coaches, and current players.
