3D LED Sony glasses question

So can you watch 3D video on a Sony 3D with other glasses? Or does it not work? I know you need the transmitter and Sony glasses, but if you have the transmitter and maybe movie theatre 3D glasses, would that do anything?

It is all about the IR codes being sent out. Sony is a different code then the Samsung. I do believe that Samsung and Panasonic are using the same codes on their glasses. As it goes now, Sony Transmitter, Sony glasses.
I have heard that Oakley was going to put some stuff out.

Give it time and somebody will provide a code breaker or glasses that reads all codes.
