37th Street Lights...

What day does the unofficial light trail start on 37th street? I saw some of the homes were already done up and ready to go but I assume there is a day when they all decide to have their houses lit up and ready for public viewing. Anybody know when that might be? And is there a time of night they turn them off by so they can all go to sleep?

Saw a report on the news the other night. Ther has been a complete turnover in the neighborhood over the last few years, and some houses aren't putting anything up. I've noticed over the last few years that there seems to be less. The report indicated that this may be a "transition" year, with less lights as the newer owners figure out what to do.

Saw that too. They also said that they will get them up but are getting feedback and advice from the man who owned the main house. They bought the house this year. They should just make it like the rest of the city and esp. the Drag and sell it all so that some chain can go in there.

I lived on that street my freshman year ('99-'00) and had a window facing the street. The electricity was paid, so I hung up a bad-*** UT tribute, complete with a longhorn flag, state of Texas outline, and the Tower with the windows lit up as #1.

It was freaking awesome.

Wow, I saw that display that year. Bravo. Sorry for pissing in front of your window though. But I did hum the Eyes of Texas while peeing. All that cider, y'know.
