For the record, Robinson is the one recruit who would have been the least likely to commit even if Ishmael Wilson (considered a LSU lock) had visited. It looked like Bama was the school to beat and Texas had a **** ton of work to do to land the young man. Hats off to Wyatt and Searels for pulling one of the top 4 OL in the state that we had the slimmest of chances to land. I am completely blown away by the turn around we have done recruiting in the trenches!!!

Also it's worth nothing that Robinson is NOT the recruit that committed Sunday night that's waiting to announce.

WOW... that was unexpected! Robinson was expected to take a few visits and check OOS schools out!

He is a top 4 O-Lineman (TOP RATED OT) in the State and should be on the O-side of the ball! Kent Perkins & Darius James were expected to domino before he was... so much for the POOR recruiting weekend!!!

It is being reported that he will be given a shot at DT... but in now way does this mean that Texas is pulling off Justin Manning!! After Texas gets Manning, DT recruiting WILL shut down...

I believe the talk by Ketch and Chad Hastings Thur afternoon on Austin's 104.9 "The Horn" used terms like "potential 1st round draft choice in the NFL" as the upside for this young man.

In other words, if I'm hearing things right, after one full year of this new staff and the direction of this program, Texas is now in the business of recruiting NFL players !!! (if I am whispering down the lane, this is how I am passing it on)
