3 games in 24hrs?

Something like this happened before, but I don't remember any of the details. Maybe one of yall will.

But, there was some sort of disease outbrake, and the game was played in an empty stadium. Just players, coaches, refs, and maybe tv.

I heard something on Sportscenter that they may forgo the championship game and declare the two finalists tournament co-champions.

Ok. As I heard on ESPN. The NCAA Selection commitee has determined that the conf. tourn. is the automatic qualifier. so If the SEC doesn't finish the tourn. they will loose they're automatic bid.

When Hank Gathers died on the court in the 1990 WCC tournament, it was canceled, and the league awarded the automatic bid to Loyola. I thought the SEC would do the same thing.

I didn't hear the ESPN comments, but if the committee had told the SEC that they'd be out of luck if they didn't play, I think that is a short-sighted decision. I don't think that it would matter, frankly, on how many bids the SEC would get.

I don't envy the bounce-back, and I've long advocated that when the Longhorns lack depth, they lose and get back home.

That said, I don't know if they still do it, but for the longest time, the Illinois HS tournament has finished up with quarterfinals on Friday, semifinals Saturday morning, and the final on Saturday night. So I suppose it's doable.

And, I was thinking since the Ivy league does it. Why couldn't the SECaward the auto to the Regular season champs.

I guess I was under the impression that is was each conference who decided their auto. Not the Selection Commitee.
