nice group of fans watching at the early bird hour of 6:30 AM.
For this practice, six players were on the orange team: Nneka, Kelsey, Brady, Empress, Celina and Brooke. White team: Krystle, Tasia, Lilley, Ariel, Brianna and Nekia. Lots of halfcourt sets practiced by both squads. Celina and Brooke alternated at times. At times, Kelsey and Nneka alternated with both Brooke and Celina on the court at the same time. For such a small player, at least compared to her teammates, Brooke has quite a snap on her passes. She and Tasia had no problem driving the lane and finishing.
Our wings/guards are hitting the 3. Our posts do pop out and take that shot as well. Nneka is looking like a very good stretch four as well as being more comfortable inside, if that's possible. Empress has elevated her game, including slashes inside to grab offensive rebounds and clean them up.
Can't wait for Nov. 9 when the exhibition game is played. I believe there is a scrimmage in there against Arizona State before the first official game as well.
