24 cancelled

One of my favorite shows. I watch it every week. I will miss it but think it's a good time to end it. Can't wait for the remaining episodes and hopefully a good movie.

Am I the only one that thinks this season is just a tired old re-hash of past seasons? I'm still watching it, but geez, I can predict just about every twist and turn. Probably not a bad time to end it.

We were the most avid 24 fans all these years, but ran out of steam about 4 weeks ago and just stopped watching. It was an awful season, again. They're still on my DVR, so I suppose I could gut up and finish the series.

There have been two exciting episodes this season -- the first (attack on motorcade) and two weeks ago (the EMP junk in the trunk). But its the same ol, same ol with the other episodes. This Starbuck sidestory just went from irritating (in a mountain lion sort of way) to oh-so-predictable (in a OMG there is a traitor inside CTU sort of way). But Jack is still the best badass on TV. When he straps in with his european manpurse around his neck, the bad guys dont have a chance. I hope they send him off in a manner befitting his gravitas. Sailing off into the sunset with that crazy redhead should do the trick.

I was hoping they'd make it to 10, but I can certainly sympathize with the assertion that they're running out of creative ideas. And I also agree with objections to these needless, irrelevant time-filler plots (Starbuck, cougar, Audrey, post-divorce Palmers, Wayne Palmer's sister, etc), but I guess they almost have to do these because of the real-time nature of the show. It'll be a weird ending though because Jack is obviously going to survive, given that they had aspirations for a 9th season. I always pictured his death being the last moment of the last season.

Lame or not, Day 8 did deliver one of the Top 1% Jack Bauer quotes of the entire series.....

Jack: [with a gun pointed to his forehead] "Son, you better put that down......you don't want to get hurt."
