It seemed just a little too easy to enter The White House. Where were the Marines during the assault? Did I miss something?

Are there seriously no cameras in the WH? No "Gun Room"?

Maybe I've read one too many Tom Clancy books, but I do believe the WH is a little more guarded than that.

Wait... are you saying that 24 is a little far-fetched? That must be the first time anyone ever thought that about the show

Forgiving how unguarded the White House was, and that "Sangolan" infiltrated it using scuba gear.

The idea that the president would hang around the white house when a "very high value" Washington DC target was going to be attacked is just a bit much.

Those were good episodes, but I to thought the White House was a little too vulnerable... I don't think it would be that easy for the bad guys or that the defenders would solely be Secret Service agents with 9 MM pistols.... but it made for a good plot.

The Janice (Jeanne Gerafalo) character not only pissed me off on screen vs. Chole tonight, but her disgusting tattoos and obnoxious politics piss me off - off screen.

I like how people criticize a fictionalized TV show depicted in the year 2013 for not being realistic enough.

As usual, you've missed the point. We're willing to suspend our belief to move the plot along, but there's a point when it almost becomes too much to believe. When a plot is so ridiculous that you're thinking about how ridiculous it is instead of focusing on the show, it's going to be hard for people to watch.

The invasion of the WH tonight many feel was such a plot.

Seems like an impossible situation.
The Whitehouse has been overrun and defaced.
The Secret Service taken by suprise and outmaneuvered.
The Prez has been ***** slapped
Aaron's been shot.
Neither Tony nor Chloe can help.

I dont think Jack will be able to pull it off this time.

Just kidding.

I hope he ends up sailing off down the Potomic on that yacht with Agent Walker ala James Bond. In fact, I wouldnt mind putting on my sailing shoes as it were.

The takeover of the White House (by a third world African nation, no less) was pretty far fetched even by 24 standards. Copy that.

I used to live there and often had the thought, while jogging down the mall, that it would be too easy mess up the WH (and that some day, someone would). For ex, from the Washington Monument, you are basically looking down into the south lawn. An RPG round from there would be about as easy as a sand wedge lob. Another spot is the balconey of the Washington Hotel Bar -- it looks down on Treasury but you can easily make out parts of the WH. It's probably distasteful to write that, but its also pretty obvious to anyone who been to those spots.

Stil, I have to agree that the idea of Sangalan frogmen storming it from below is pretty over the top. (not thats there's anything wrong with Sangalan frogmen)

The dad from That 70's Show is really getting on my nerves. I wish the Warden from Shawshank would have donkey punched him prior to meeting the president.

I thought for sure last night either Aaron or Bill B were going to get offed, glad they are still around. They are 2 of the more likable characters. I still miss President Palmer. This President and the Billy Bob Thorton-esque VP leave a lot to be desired.

I am so out of touch......I thought this was gonna be a discussion about a case of Oklahoma beer and the resulting shittiness

I love the show, but it's about to get sidetracked by Torture Advocacy. Bauer's like an informercial pitchman in a couple of scenes there. TORTURE WORKS, DAMMIT!!
