Federer beat Soderling last night to advance to the semis at the US Open. This is the 22nd straight time in a slam that he has made it to the semis....unreal. Nobody else has ever had a streak longer than 10.

Federer has also won 39 straight matches at the US Open. And he is going for his 6th straight title there....also unreal. Bill Tilden won 6 titles in a row there in the 1920s.

In the Semis Federer will play Djokovic.....man that match could go either way.

That is why he is the best of all time IMO.

His consistency is unbelievable in tennis or just about anywhere else.

The only person who the debate is with is Rod Laver. People argue that he missed out on several years of being able to play for majors. What people fail to mention is that there were many of the majors he won in 1962 and before where he was not playing the best in the world because those players were pros.

I also think tennis is much stronger now (not in US or Australia), but around the world than it was when Laver was playing.

RF is also supposedly about the nicest famous person you woudl ever meet.
