It appears that #22 will either come this week or at the banquet! Since he's already de-committed from Ok. St., the following tweets I found on Hookem.com's bulletin board on Donald Hawkins...

This was posted last Friday over on Inside Texas last Friday...

"Texas is my number one," Hawkins told Inside Texas. "I feel like they're the best school for me. I just like everything about them. The school, the coaches, just everything."

And I hope it's only time before Brandon Moore domino's as well as it's been reported he's canceled all other trips and his friends have said he's committed to Texas...

I think Donald Hawkins could be the bomb for us. If he's plugged in as a solid tackle next year, it could make all the difference. In the article I saw about him it said he'd have his AA degree in December, so maybe he could be here in the Spring. Stacy Searles probably said, "hey we had better JC guys back over in SEC land than what I'm looking at!"
 
There's rumors this eve that Mississippi is burning and Texas is responsible... as to which Mississippi JUCO kid will domino first, OT Hawkins or DT Moore! At this point, I think having an OT to step in next year to drive block & pass pro is just as important as having a DT that will step in next year to clog up the middle & pressure the opposing qb! I want both of these dudes...

The lists I have seen don't seem to have this guy that highly rated. I'm one who usually downplays the recruiting "rankings" but I would think JC rankings would be a bit more accurate after seeing what the guys actually do - albeit in JC competition.

Just not sure where the euphoria comes in. Are we just so desperate that ANY change is exciting.
 
Hawkins and Moore are two i've been looking forward to. Great news and a hell of a pick up. Congrats and welcome Mr. Hawkins!!

Why is everyone so hyped. Where is he listed as an immediate starter. Stoops, Miles or Saban didn't even offer? I hope he does well but would love to see his credentials for instant stardom somewhere other than this post..

WTF not? Worked for Auburn last year, at QB. Seems to work for Snyder pretty much every year. If he can come in, kick some serious *** for a season, and go Pro... looks like we're ahead of the game with that deal.

#23 Brandon Moore has a teammate who is the JuCo QB MVP for 2011... think he might be worth a serious look? Sounds like he could also enroll for spring. I can think of worse ideas.
